Publishing Activities

ICOM Russia is involved in translating the key ICOM publications and documents into Russian to raise awareness of expert community and wide public at the country about ICOM activities, museum events, general principles, notions and trends in museum area. 

In order to provide the museum community with supporting materials, presentational papers and other information sources, ICOM Russia initiated the publication of specialized issues on its museum activities, such as ICOM Russia Network (2012). The edition was freely disseminated during museum forums and festivals, and through partner organizations. 

 

In cooperation with the UNESCO Moscow Office, ICOM Russia has prepared a series of Policy Briefs resulted from the joint long-term projects on museum management, strengthening the social and educational role of museums, and enhancing their links with the  UNESCO cultural conventions. 

 

ICOM Russia is also committed to publish the proceedings and outcomes of the conferences and supported events to keep its members informed about the key results of expert discussions and initiatives.
