ICOM Russia is a Russian National Committee of the International Council of Museum (ICOM), an international organization of museums and museum professionals committed to the conservation, continuation, and promotion of the world's natural and cultural heritage: http://icom.museum/
The Russian National Committee has been an ICOM member since 1957. There are about 900 individual and 130 institutional members in ICOM Russia today.
Through its Executive Directorate, ICOM Russia has been conducting an active work with individual and collective members of the Committee, particularly:
- regularly informs about international events organized by ICOM and other museum organizations;
- organizes and coordinates international symposia, conferences, and seminars focused on museum work, as well as national and regional trainings on museum management;
- designates the Committee’s representative delegation to participate in ICOM General Conferences, museum events and festivals;
- provides consultative and methodological assistance, etc.

Afanasy has been working at the Executive Board of ICOM Russia since December 2008. He is responsible for representation and spreading information on the activities of the Russian museum community among international and other regional committees of ICOM. Afanasy runs correspondence with government bodies, various cultural institutions and museum associations. He also provides professional assistance to ICOM individual and collective members. Afanasy has a degree in history. His specialization is modern and contemporary history of Spain.

Dinara joined the ICOM Russia Executive Board in November 2015. She is responsible for the implementation of ICOM Russia projects, coordination and organization of professional events, activity planning and cooperation with members and partners. Dinara prepares projects documents, presentations and outcome publications. She studied Sociology at Lomonosov Moscow State University and Media and Cultural Studies at Lancaster University, United Kingdom. Dinara previously worked for the UNESCO Moscow Office for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation.
Nina I. Kazantsevа
Nina I. is responsible for consultation on joining ICOM. She communicates with ICOM Russia collective and individual members about membership fees. She also prepares accompanying documentation for events and other projects.
Daria joined the ICOM Russia Executive Board in November 2017. She is responsible for informing members about news and conferences, writing announcements and press releases. Daria maintains the Committees’ website and social media pages, as well as helps in preparing events. She studied Museology at the Saint Petersburg University of Culture and currently getting a master’s degree in Art History at the Russian State University of the Humanities.
